In March Yr7 and Yr8 students have the opportunity to take part in a five – day residential camp at Khao Yai.
Staying at The Wild Lodge, the students will sleep in groups in individual units with their own lounge and en suite bathroom. All meals will be supplied, and the food will be Thai-style buffet, although western food can be arranged if requested, as can vegetarian options.
An exciting programme of activities will occupy the students while they are there. Archery, climbing, abseiling, kayaking and trekking are just some of the events they will take part in, most of which will be team events. An English language component for one hour a day will be included in the programme.
All activities are closely supervised by staff from The Wild Lodge, who have been operating in Thailand for more than 20 years and have an excellent safety record. A group of staff from Traill, led by Mr. Philip (Senior Teacher: Student Welfare) will accompany the students.
The trip departs from Traill on Sunday 9th March at 9am, and returns to Traill at 2.15pm on Thursday 13th March. The cost of the trip is 10500 baht, which includes travel, all meals and accommodation, and participation in all activities. Payment must be made to the school office by Friday 21st February.
